Live Recording

Live Recording allows you to record audio directly in your browser and automatically convert it into AI notes, summaries, mindmaps, flashcards, quizzes, slideshows, podcasts, and many other formats.

1. What is Live Recording used for?

Use cases:

  • Record live meetings: Capture the entire meeting and receive an AI summary as soon as it ends.
  • Record lectures: Turn lectures into well-structured notes for easier review.
  • Capture ideas: Save ideas or voice notes anytime, anywhere.
  • Interviews & research: Record interviews and quickly extract key information.

2. How to Use Live Recording

Step 1: Start Recording

  1. From the Home screen, select Live Recording.
  2. Choose the recording language that matches your content.
  3. Click Start Recording.
  4. Your browser will request microphone access. Select Allow to begin recording.

Note: Make sure your microphone is working properly before starting.

Step 2: Stop Recording

  1. When finished, click Stop Recording.
  2. NoteX will automatically upload the recording and begin AI processing.
  3. Processing may take anywhere from a few seconds to several minutes depending on the recording length.

Step 3: View the Results

Once processing is complete, your recording will be converted into an AI note containing:

  • AI Summary and structured AI notes
  • Transcript
  • Key points
  • Action items (if available)

You can also generate:

  • Mindmap
  • Slideshow
  • Flashcards
  • Quiz
  • Podcast
  • Shorts
  • Translate into another language

3. Manage Your Recording

After the note is created, you can:

  • Edit the note content.
  • Rename the note.
  • Share it with others.
  • Move it to a Folder.
  • Translate it into another language (supports over 100 languages).
  • Export it as PDF, Word, or Markdown.
  • Continue using Nova Agent to generate emails, documents, or explore your note in greater depth.

4. FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How long can I record?

A: The maximum recording duration is 5 hours. In addition, your available recording time depends on your subscription plan and the remaining Credits in your account.

Q: Can I close my browser while recording?

A: No. Your browser must remain open throughout the recording. If you close the tab or browser, the recording session will end.

Q: Can I use Live Recording on my phone?

A: Yes. Live Recording works on both desktop and mobile browsers as long as the browser supports microphone access.

Q: Where is my recording stored after processing?

A: Once AI processing is complete, your note will appear in All Notes, where you can edit, share, or transform it into many other formats.
